Photographers/videographers, it’s time to mark your calendars, we’re excited to officially launch our first Content Day, and trust us, this is the one you won’t want to miss.


Hosted by the creative dream team, Mindy, Alicia & Jaron, this full-day workshop is designed to ignite your passion, elevate your portfolio, and connect you with a community of like-minded creatives who are just as obsessed with storytelling as you are.


WHAT IS A CONTENT DAY?


If you’ve never been to one before, think of it as a photographer’s creative playground, a space designed for learning, experimenting, and storytelling. This day is designed around styled shoots with real couples, giving you the chance to practice natural posing, build confidence in directing, and create emotive, connection-focused content. You’ll also have the opportunity to experiment with flash and work in a variety of lighting situations, from soft natural light to more dynamic, cinematic setups, helping you grow your skills and adapt to any scenario on a real shoot. It’s not just about walking away with beautiful images, it’s about levelling up as an artist, discovering new ways to shoot, and finding your voice in a supportive, collaborative space.

Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is ideal for photographers who are either beginning their journey into wedding photography or looking to refine their style, workflow, and client experience. Whether you're just starting out in photography or have a few weddings under your belt, you'll walk away with valuable insights and hands-on experience.


Do I need to be an experienced photographer to attend?

Nope! While basic knowledge of how to use your camera in manual mode is helpful, this workshop is designed to cater to various skill levels. We’ll break things down in a practical and approachable way.


What should I bring with me?

Bring your camera, favorite lenses, extra batteries, memory cards, and a notebook. If you have a reflector or flash, feel free to bring that too! We’ll be covering both natural and artificial light techniques.


Will there be a styled shoot?

Yes! A professionally styled shoot with two real couples will be included. This gives you the chance to build your portfolio and practice posing, lighting, and composition in a wedding-like setting.


Will I be able to use the photos in my portfolio?

Absolutely. You’re welcome to use the images from the styled shoot in your portfolio, on your website, and social media — just be sure to credit the vendors involved where appropriate (we'll provide a list).


Where is the workshop being held?

The workshop will be held in the epic His majesty's Theatre in Perth, at 10am. We’ll be making use of both indoor and outdoor spaces throughout the day.


What topics will be covered?

We’ll cover:

  • Crafting a strong wedding day timeline
  • Posing and directing couples
  • Orchestrating how to capture getting ready and detail photographs.
  • Video tips from Jaron
  • Lighting techniques (natural + flash)


Will food and drinks be provided?

Yes! We’ll have light refreshments available throughout the day. Please let us know any dietary requirements when booking.


Is there a payment plan available?

For this workshop, payment plans are unavailable.


What’s your cancellation policy?

Tickets are non-refundable, but they are transferable. If you're unable to attend, you’re welcome to transfer your spot to another photographer (just let us know in advance).
